School Rumble is like a love triangle at its best, the characters all fall in love with one another but none of them seem to match. Tsukamoto Tenma is like any other ordinary girl, like normal girls she has a person she likes. Unfortunately her dream guy Karasumaru doesn’t feel the same way towards her as she does for him. To make matters worse Karasumaru plans to leave the school at the end of the year. With the help of Yakumo (Tenma’s sister) Tenma tries to confess her love. Harima Kenji is a delinquent who holds strong feelings for Tenma. Harima like Tenma is unable to express his feelings and to further confuse and mess up the situation Tenma is thick. Unable to realize the subtle hints of Harima’s feelings Tenma becomes confused in his actions. Yakumo on the other hand has the ability to understand what others are thinking about her and therefore rejects the many boys that attempt to ask her out. As Harima’s feelings lie towards Tenma, Yakumo begins to fall for Harima due to Harima’s personality and compassion towards animals. However as mentioned before Tenma is thick and believes Harima has fallen for her sister. The love triavle soon turns into a love web, a web of confusion that spawns comedy.

This is probably one of the best school type love-romance comedy out there for now. Although I gotta say Fumoffu made me laugh allot more School Rumble has its own unique characteristics. Although there are some parody within this series it doesn’t rely heavily on it for comic relief. Its more the situation the characters are put through that makes this series special. In addition Harima is hilarious, the feats he takes to grab Tenma’s attention always made me laugh. Although Harima believes that he is slowly succeeding you can tell that Tenma is too thick to realize what is going on. If you have the time grab this and give it a shot.

Harima is the best delinquent character in anime. He is so desperate and constantly finds trouble when trying to confess. Season 2 was ok but 1 was better.

I felt the series lost a lot of its direction in the second half of the second season. But for 75% it was definitely one of the most laugh out loud shows I’d seen in a while. It always picked me up after a long and hard day and put a smile on my face–and in my book, that automatically makes it a winner as a comedy. (Especially when they got into the genre parodies; the romance stuff only really got funny when it got more and more outlandish.)

School Rumble is one of the best comedy out there, and with many other shows, one thing happens – the side characters become more interesting than the main characters. But in this case, Harima is still very funny. I personally like Sawachika a lot.

School rumble is one of my favorite anime all the time. Along with Bleach, Inuyasha and Yakitate!! Japan, School Rumble is an anime that you can’t never forget after you’d watch it.

i was quite surprised to see how much i came to love this series. at first i thought it was just a fluke. but after finishing season 1, i immediately scrounged for ssn 2 and the ova. there are 2 or 3 episodes that really rocked me on my heels — as in tears were running down my face because i was laughing so much

School rumble is great!!!!! I personally like the main character(thoguh most people seem to like Yakumo, Harima or Eri) Perhaps it’s because during school days…. I’m almost 85% just like Tenma(Except for being dense in the head)
Whenever I hear “School Rumble” being called out by someone…I’m usually head-over-heels. Coz it seems like [Hey it's cool that person knows School Rumble too] I like both seasons equally. Season 1 if fun; 2 is rather romantic- like the school wars and the last episode….
I hope Season 3 won’t let us down in anyway…..and…..pls pls pls pls pls that there will be a season 3 anime not just the manga….

wow great! I really love school rumble too… Specially Harima’s face whenever he was mistaken to be inlove w/ other girls other than Tenma.. whaa totally hillarious!! I don’t know w/ u guys but I lyk Harima-Sawachika pair or Harima-Yakumo pair more than Harima-Tenma pair. I hope the writer can do something w/ this.. hohoho (I think it’s really impossible after reading the manga.. but who knows!!)

i really do not like Tenma`s character she is really annoying ,.. she misunderstands everything and swears she knows everything to know about love because she reads a girls mag that is based on the views of some women and young girls with no real view points on how a guy is or love is suppose to be.. i hope that when season 3 ends which should be the last term and season for school rumble Harima & Yakuma or Harima & Sawachika get together …oh yeah and the nurse of course

COME ON Am i wrong she can`t even remember that Harima saved her ass,, but thats right she so dumb that she mistook him as a pervert and he was not even at fault it was all her how dense can you be ..oh yeah how many times did she see Harimas with out his glasses on again?? someone tell me please . ok i understand that her character is suppose to be very slow but it lost its humor and its cuteness really .. the show is funny because the little jokes but then again i see why now none of the guys except for a few boys don`t see her as a babe but a little girl..

Nothing wrong with long comments, the longer the feed back the better as long as its not spam lol. I think some people would agree with you that Tenma seems annoying due to her naiveness but others would argue thats its a moe point. Though I think the inability of the characters to understand the feelings of others is a key point to the story, without it there would be no love triangles. I found the first season was very good but like you said watching a second season with a very similar plot got kind of boring, but then again if it were to change completly it just wouldn’t be School Rumble.

I recently just started watching this series, and I could not stop. This is probably my favorite romance/comedy series I have ever watched. Harima is so awesome! When things don’t go his way (which happens a lot) you feel bad for him, and want to see him succeed.

I burned through season 1 and 2 in like one week. Now I have to wait for season 3. They need to hurry up!

The 1st season of School Rumble was so funny n crazy, everytim i would com home and think ” I can’t wait till the new episode com!” . that’s how happy i was about it!!! When the 2nd season there was so much drama, but what replaced it was comedy sometimes tat made tha cartoon special. I definitely can’t wait til 3rd season comes!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!
