Ouran Academy is a prestigious high school for the rich however Haruhi is a common girl who has managed to enter the school through a scholarship. On her first day at school she stumbles across the Host Club room and manages to break an 8 million yen vase. In order to pay her debt the leader of the club orders her to gather 100 guests as a means of paying for her accident. However a host club is a place where male staffs serve female guests. Hence Haruhi is forced to dress up as a boy in order to complete her task
Probably the best anime I’ve seen in 2006. This series has a great plot, which sets you up for constant laughs. Although this series would be considered top of the range for female fans I’m sure there are allot of guys out there like me who enjoy comedy with a twist. Although the gender-switching concept is not new, what make this anime special are the other Host Club characters. Having their own different personalities ranging from the Prince to a cute boy this series dishes out character stereotypes to a maximum.
