proposal daisakusen

Name: Proposal Daisakusen
Genre: Romance
Year: 2007
Rating: Must See

We all have regrets in our lives. There are things that we wish we had done, words that we hope to have voiced and mistakes that we wanted to avoid. Iwase Ken is now in his teenage years, having graduated from university and now in the work force there is one major aspect of his life that he wishes to change. Standing in the crowd of his childhood friend Yoshida Rei’s wedding, Ken can only regret that he wasn’t able to confess his feelings to her in the past. Ken desperately wants to be the one standing beside Rei but in reality he can only congratulate Rei with his friends and wish her the best in the future. However as the slide show approaches displaying Rei’s life a fairy appears before Ken and grants him a chance to change his past. As each picture slide is shown Ken is sent back in time, giving him a chance to amend his mistakes in the hope of changing Rei’s feelings towards him.

The series starts off a little bit slow as it takes a little bit of time in introducing the characters. But once you start to understand the situation between Ken and Rei it begins to get interesting. Especially since every time Ken goes back he is always put into a difficult situation. Generally when it comes to a romance drama you enjoy the series or film due to its plot, your obsession with the actors or the series tells of something interesting and unique. For Proposal Daisakusen its not a bunch of rich boys but the fact that the story is told in a unique way. Instead of having boring flash backs to let the viewers know the past of the protagonist, the character himself literally goes back in time. The idea of changing the past and how it affects the future is quite interesting but its the fact that Ken when going back to the past in his present state of mind is what makes it interesting. Anything could have happened, he could have won the lottery or aced his university entrance exam but that would make it boring. Instead he uses his limited time to chase the girl he truly loves.

Yamashita’s dramas are all interesting to watch. Personal fav would be Kurosagi. But he didn’t stand out much in his earlier works like Dragon Zakura and IWGP.

Hallelujah lol

Especially since every time Ken goes back he is always put into a difficult situation

Love how he’s often on the verge of fail in those situations. I’m not sure if it is irony, but his misfortunes were enjoyable. ^^

Sometimes he fails to do what he is set out to do as soon as he is sent back, but he always finds some way of fixing the problem like when giving away his 2nd button.

DYING to finish the SP !! <3 ken zou forever :D

yamapi has his ways to hypnotise us girl fans doesnt he 0.0
his situations are hilarious, but the fact that he never coonfesses after telling himself he is going to, really annoys me. i just sit there helplessly gawping at him thinking “SAY IT YOU BAKA :A” .. but i suppose that’s what the story’s plotline is.. suspension til the end.
:D kawaii yamapi. damn her :D ! what say we make a hate group dedicated to her.
i like the theme song, but the guy who sings is really annoying with his nasal voice, they should have a yamashita song to go with it.. maybe a slow one made for that drama .. both ways, anything sung by yamapi should be perfect <3 :D
.. i think yamashita is exceptional with his acting in kurosagi, like in a few youtube links when he introduces the kurosagi movie in the premier, they mention the fact that the cast believe hes a robot. hes not human with the way hes so into his role. its perfect ! i loved him in kurosagi, but i personally believe he outdid himself in prodai.
omoidette yamapi <3 .. halleljuah.. CHANC-O ! :)
