Name: Great Teacher Onizuka (live-action)
Genre: Comedy, Drama, School Life
Year: 1998
Rating: Must See
Onizuka was once a former member of a motorcycle gang. Although being a delinquent throughout his life he held the goal to become a school teacher. Although given the chance to live out his dreams he has to constantly avoid getting fired due to his unconventional teaching methods. Using his experience and strengths Onizuka helps his classmates who are in need. For those who enjoyed the anime series will undoubtedly love the live-action version.
However due to the fact that the live action is allot shorter in length compared to its anime predecessor some of the content is left out. Nonetheless if you like watching your anime being converted into live-action versions this is at the top of its range. There aren’t many of these live-action serials out there and there are even less that are good. What makes this live-action so good is the actors that have been chosen do a great job in performance and looks. Although Takashi Sorimachi may look nothing like the Onizuka in theanime version his appearance suites the role just as well. In a way he has created his own Onizuka with his optimistic and easy going attitude.
