I remember when this show first came out and G4 Tech TV aired it. Watching it brings back memories...One of the best animes I've ever seen and it is also one of my favorites!

I was wondering if I should ever watch this too, but with all the new anime airing in Spring (or in Australia, Autumn) I don't think I'll ever be able to.

Simoun of which I will review soon is like a yuri version of Last Exile. I actually quite enjoyed Simoun, especially because I found that the characters had very stereotypical personalities. There is the naive protagonist who actually has great hidden talent, the tsundere and yandere, they have everything.

Man, I remember watching this shortly after it was out; one of my first marathons. I definitely think the mix of styles, concepts, and setting glued me in, especially with the Dio and the Guild aspect. Nice recommend.

If you liked Last Exile, you should check out Simoun. It's a lot less yuri than you'd think from the cover art or first ep, and the story is quite good. Many have said it's similar to Last Exile (which is on my to-watch list now).

Wikipedia has a plot summary for Simoun, but be warned it's rather dry, long and complicated.
