Sakura Kusakabe is a second year junior high school student. This particular student in the future holds the key to immortality. However this cure of death has a side effect. Women that are affected stop aging after the age of twelve. For intervening in the natural process of life God has summoned angel assassins to go into the past and kill Sakura before he finds the cure. Dokuro is one of the angels sent to eliminate Sakura however she believes that Sakura can be stopped without resorting to killing him. Dokuro often refered to as Dokuro-chan therefore ends up protecting him from the other assassins that are sent. However unfortunately for Sakura, Dokuro is an angel who expresses her anger and emotions with more than words. To put it simply she ends up killing Sakura with her giant spiked club (Excalibolg) and then reviving him with her magic but only to kill him again in variety of painful ways.

You may at first notice when watching this series is its amount of gore. Theres allot of blood and guts splattered across the screen just like in Elfen Lied except in this series its more comic than serious. The series has its ups and downs, though I didn’t mind seeing a series which didn’t hold back on how messed up it can be, after a few episodes I can’t help but think “wtf?”. I’m sure there are many out there who have enjoyed watching this series allot more than me. But I can say that after watching random scenes with the protagonist being mutilated in more ways than you can imagine, it really was only the funny the first few occasions. Also for those who have seen this series they may recall Dokuro-chan’s annoying incantation “pipiru…” However this series did stand out for me amongst other things I have seen, I have heard differing opinions on this series but I guess with content that is targeted for a very specific audience its up to the viewer to decide whether this series is good or not.
