I suppose you would have to classify this show under that same decription, however I also think it's the funniest anime I have ever seen - by far. No anime has made me laugh out loud as much as this. I've even rewatched the show around 4 times and I still find it hilarious. The difference is that this show has Norio Wakamoto as the Onsokumaru's seiyuu. It was like he was born for this role, simply the way he is able to say things makes them exponentially funnier. Then there is the matter of timing, which is a crucial comedic element. 2x2=Shinobuden gets it right; each joke is delivered just at the right time. It also has a lot mof parody content and self-referencial humour in relation to itself and the anime industry in general. It has it's share of fanservice, but I find that only contributes to its entertainment value. I have never found a show I can just mindlessly enjoy more so than this; I recommend it to everyone.
