We all have regrets in our lives. There are things that we wish we had done, words that we hope to have voiced and mistakes that we wanted to avoid. Iwase Ken is now in his teenage years, having graduated from university and now in the work force there is one major aspect of his life that he wishes to change. Standing in the crowd of his childhood friend Yoshida Rei’s wedding, Ken can only regret that he wasn’t able to confess his feelings to her in the past. Ken desperately wants to be the one standing beside Rei but in reality he can only congratulate Rei with his friends and wish her the best in the future. However as the slide show approaches displaying Rei’s life a fairy appears before Ken and grants him a chance to change his past. As each picture slide is shown Ken is sent back in time, giving him a chance to amend his mistakes in the hope of changing Rei’s feelings towards him.

Train Heartnet is a skilled gunman who was once a member of the assassin group known as the Chronos Numbers. Though he tries to forget his past he constantly encounters his past partners in crime. With the number thirteen permanently tattooed to his body and his unwillingness to give up his signature Orhalcon weapon he isn’t hard to hind. For those who leave the elite assassination organization one becomes a traitor who must be erased. Known as the Black Cat due to his quick reflexes and as the deliverer of bad luck, he is the most feared amongst the Chronos Numbers. Brought up in a world of conflict, Heartnet’s method of survival is eliminating his opponents. However after meeting Saya Minatsuki, things start to change.

Itsuki Minami is an ordinary delinquent at a high school. Nicknamed Ikki by his friends he is known as the leader of a small gang named the East Side Gunz. Unknown to Ikki his sisters form the renowned Sleeping Forest Storm Riders, a team that competes in the world of Air Treck battles. Air Trecks (AT’s) are a special type of motorized inline skates. AT’s are much like ordinary roller blades but have motors which allow its user to perform maneuvers that would not ordinarily be possible with normal inline skates. After learning of his sister’s secret Ikki’s fascination in experiencing flight becomes a catalyst in forming his determination and journey towards mastering Air Trecks. However Ikki soon learns that sheer determination alone isn’t enough to achieve the ultimate dream of any Storm Rider of reaching the top of Trophaeum Tower.

Takumi Fujiwara is an eighteen year old boy living in Japan’s Gunma Prefecture. Together with his father they run a small local tofu store. It is soon revealed that Takumi had been assisting his father in his tofu deliveries five years before he received his license to drive. Each day he would take his fathers Toyota Sprinter Trueno and complete his runs up and down the mountain passes near his town. After several years of delivering tofu, Takumi has developed driving skills far beyond any normal teenager. By the time Takumi receives his license he is not only able to compete against amateur racers he has also created some what of a legend within his own town. As more racers learn of his existence, Takumi often finds himself defending his title as the fastest downhill racer in the Gunma area.

In the future technology and time has allowed the human race to expand and inhabit multiple planets. Along with the evolution of the human race crime has also grown. To combat crime and bring order to the inhabited planets the Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs are formed. Within this universal police organization a special branch known as the ES Force are two low ranked members Eclair and Lumiere. The two are part of a group of elite individuals with abilities beyond the normal police force. With multiple planets being inhabited by humans it isn’t hard to imagine disorder and disapproval of those who are in power. Sometimes it may be easy to distinguish between criminals and the good however the two ES members soon realize that choosing the correct side to defend is not always easy.
