Based on the popular manga by Yoshihiro Togashi, Hunter x Hunter follows the adventures of Gon in his search for his father. Although he has little to no memory of his father, what’s certain is that his father was a skilled and famous hunter. Being a hunter means belonging to a certain class of people. This class of people are highly respected in society as Hunters are renowned for their intelligence, physical strength and their ability to accomplish any task given to them. However much like mercenaries there are those who use their skill and expertise to do good and others who side with evil. Although with no specific direction and plan as to how he will find his father, Gon soon makes friends that will see him through the trials that come.

Name: Witchblade

After a great disaster that devastated Tokyo there is but one surviver. Masane Amaha a kind hearted woman found at the epicenter of the catastrophe who had survived unharmed. What had protected her was what is known as history’s greatest weapon, the Witchblade. Many have had the opportunity to use the ultimate weapon throughout history however much of its power and capabilities remain hidden. Although having lost her memory and gained tremendous power, Masane is more interested in being with Rihoko of whom she sees as her own daughter. However the peaceful days of the two are soon put into turmoil as Masane is forced to fight against those who wish to obtain the Witchblade. On the other hand whilst conflict may not be in the best interest of Masane, whilst the Witchblade is active it brings blood thirst and draws its user to seek formidable opponents.

Name: Nana (live-action movie)

Nana Osaki played by Mika Nakashima is a talented vocalist who wants to create her own success after her old group disbanded. Ren Honjo the ex-boyfriend of Nana Osaki leaves the group after being offered a position in the popular band Trapnest. Although Nana and Ren had lived together and performed together on stage, their relationship is put to test as Ren departs. Having a strong will Nana peruses her dream and begins to create her own band called the Black Stonese. Nana Komatsu (Hachi), the other protagonist of the story has a contrasting personality compared to Osaki. Komatsu isn’t strong and independent, she has a habit of easily falling in love and depending on others. However one thing the two have in common are the fact they have been separated from their friends. The two meet on a train destined for Tokyo, but whats more coincidental is the fact that they end up renting the same apartment. While the Black Stones start to gather its members and perform, other problems arise especially with regards to love. Based on the shojo manga by the same name the film follows the two in their quest for happiness.
