Fuka Gakuen at first seems like any other prestigious school, however there have been rumors of monsters appearing and causing trouble from within the shadows. Mai Tokiha and her weak and ill young brother are transferring to this school, though generally regular students are involved with the mysterious events that occur it is soon revealed that Mai isn’t any ordinary student. The powers of a “HiMe” (Highly advanced Materializing Equipment) is bestowed upon a select few people of which gather at Fuka Academy in order to eliminate the monsters. Mai is one of those select few who hold the power to fight. However despite being able to conjure up incredible powers she is more worried about her brothers illness. With a weak heart Mai has always had to look after Takumi. However all this is just on the surface, in reality there is a much darker secret; the true nature of the gathering of those who are called Hime.

Loki, the Norse god of mischief has been banished into the world of humans by Odin. The main protagonist is a god trapped in his infant form. Though a child he is far from helpless after all he is still a god. To return to the land of gods he must collect evil spirits, hence the creation of Rnjaku Detective Agency. Whilst searching and ridding the world of spirits, ghosts and evil beings he is confronted by a girl with a special interest. Daidoushi Mayura is far from an average girl, she is one who holds a strong interest in mysteries. Having grown up with the desire to become a detective, Mayura instantly volunteers to become a member of Loki’s group. Loki on the other hand is more interested in how he will return to his former self and why Odin has sent assassins to take his life. Soon we find out that it is believed that Loki will be the cause of Ragnarok. (The end of the world) Despite being completely different from the conventional myth the series has its own adaptations of the Norse gods some of which is quite amusing.

Name: Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge

Yamato Nadeshiko is a common term used in Japan to describe the ideal beautiful woman. Sunako Nakahara is a girl who is far from being the perfect girl however a group of boys are given the task to transform her into a lady and therefore we have the title “Perfect Girl Evolution.” When younger Sunako was traumatized after being labeled “ugly” by the boy who she confessed her love. After this incident she became reclusive and generally developed a fear of pretty boys of which she refers to as “dazzling creatures.” Sunako’s aunt on the other hand is a rich and independent woman who is desperate to change her niece into something more lady like. Luckily she is the owner of a mansion which happens to be housing four extremely handsome and popular boys. These four students are given the task to change Sunako in exchange for living in the mansion free of charge. Although the four are able to make Sunako physically attractive the difficult part is with her personality. Sunako has no intention in changing her tastes, her love for all things macabre (gruesome and horrifying content) is a difficult challenge that the boys must face. Similar to the popular Ouran High School Host Club series the series deals with the extravagant life of a group of bishounen characters who cause nose bleeds to girls where ever they go. It’s a shojo series with lots of sparkles and flowers that can be enjoyed by guys just as much as girls.
