Ayasaki Hayate is an unfortunate high school student. Despite his efforts to save up money by taking on part time both his parents keep incurring debt. Hayate is at the point where he has lost all hope in justice and life. If honestly working hard won’t bring him fortune maybe a life of crime may work. After finding out that his Christmas present is a 150 million yen debt from his parents he decides to seize the opportunity in holding a girl ransom. However this rich girl misunderstands his intentions and is lead to believe he is confessing his love to her. Hayate is no first class criminal, though he has an extraordinary physic he completely messes up his kidnapping plan. However it may seem that his luck has changed when he is given the chance to become Sanzenin Nagi’s personal butler.

Lucky Star follows the lives of a bunch of school girls attending high school in Japan. The centeral character Konata Izumi is an athletic and intelligent girl however has the personality of a lazy otaku. With her interest buried in anime and video games she doesn’t take much interest in socializing or anything else. The series was originally a four panel comic strip by Kagami Yoshimizu but was serialized due to its popularity. When the series was released it generated allot of attention due to its opening theme that featured a catchy tune and a nicely choreographed dance much like the ED of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Name: Tenpo Ibun Ayakashi Akashi

In an era where monsters attack and devastate the human civilization a special group is formed to counter these demons. Those who fight against the monsters (Yoi/Youi) are part of the Bansha Aratemsho. Within this secret organization the group who directly fight and banish the monsters are the Ayakashi. Ryuudou Yukiatsu is a “floater,” these floaters make up the poor part of society and are forced to live in the slums. However this particular floater has the power Ayagami. Yukiatsu is able to “find words behind thins” and by doing so he is able to create weapons that are able to defeat the monsters. Although unwillingly at first Yukiatsu joins the Ayakashi and assists them in their quest with protecting the society they live in.

The Chiroptera (yokushu) are a type of monster that feeds of the blood of humans. Similar to the well known ledgend of vampires these creatures are able to regenerate from injuries at a very fast rate and hence are nearly invincible. Chevaliers are a special type of Chiroptra, these beings are humans who have taken the blood of “queens”. These queens are pure blooded Chiropetra in other words they are the original source of these creatures. Otonashi Saya seems like an ordinary high school girl however it is soon revealed that she is one of the two queens left on earth. Saya’s sister Diva is quite different personality wise, whilst Saya loves her human family and is able to adapt to human life, Diva is one who is determined to destroy the peace that the humans have become accustomed to after the war. As it is only a queens blood that can kill these monsters, together with Haji (Saya’s Chevalier) they bear the responsibility of protecting society from the Chiroptra.

Sena Kobayakawa is a boy who has been bullied by others all his life. On top of the bullying he has constantly relied on his older sister figure Mamori Anezaki to protect him. Now that he is entering into his high school years he wants to change however as he is entering Deimon High School the same place where Mamori is attending it becomes obvious that he will find it hard to change when being around an overprotective childhood friend. Sena is remarkably weak however he has an amazing running speed and dodging techniques. For Yoichi Hiruma and Ryokan Kurita it is their last year to compete for the Christmas Bowl. They are apart of a American Football club aiming to win the tournament however they have always lacked talent. After seeing Sena’s speed Hiruma decides to force him to becomes the teams running back. Sena’s talent is beyond an average high school boy so it is likely that other schools would want to have him on their team. To hide Sena’s identity from other schools as well as to keep Mamori calm, Sena wears an eye shield to hide his face. Soon the name of Eyeshield 21 spreads across the region and Sena becomes a key player in Hiruma’s team the Deimon Devil Bats.

Muto Kazuki is an ordinary high school boy however one day he attempts to save a girl being attacked by a monster. Unfortunately he dies from this heroic act. The girl on the other hand is far from ordinary. Tokiko Tsumura is a member of a select group who deal with the monsters known as Homunculus. Buso renkin (weapon alchemy) are the only types of weapons that are able to defeat these monsters. These weapons are called forth with the use of Kakugane’s that were developed in the process of creating the Philosopher’s stone. Whilst generally Kakukane’s are used as a means of killing a special Black Kakugane can be used to bring life. Kazuki is given a new chance at life, Tokiko explains to him the reality of what is happening around him. Knowing that these monsters roam the planet feeding off humans Kazuki is determined to do what he can to prevent further deaths.

In the past the humans were driven from their home planet Earth. Now the human race inhabit a new planet. On this new planet exists a substance called “Trapar”. This transparent substance is energy particles one of which can enable flight when harnessed properly. Although the Trapar is used to propel airships a popular sport called lifting (riffing) was created. Lifting involves the use of a surfboard like device that is used to ride the trapar just like riding waves when surfing.
Several years after the disaster named “Summer of Love” ended the son of hero (Adrock) is given the chance to experience and change the world. Renton is a skilled mechanic like his father. However due to the loss his father in the great disaster his mechanic skills are taught by his grandfather in the small town of Belforest. One day he is given the chance to join the renegade Gekkostate crew and its leader the famed lifter Holland. However Rentons “luck” doesn’t end here, he also meets a young female pilot named Eureka. The story then tells of the growing relationship between the two and their LFO Nirvash. Renton’s life takes a dramatic turn as he joins Gekkostate however the events soon to follow are not as is printed in their ray=out magazine.
